Refund, Return & Cancellation Policy
Effective date: June 6, 2025
This policy applies to repairs arranged with an independent technician serving all five NYC boroughs. Bookings are made by phone or text — talking through the model and symptoms first helps avoid wasted visits and fees.
Appointment cancellations
Cancelling scheduled services
If you need to cancel a scheduled service, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance to avoid any cancellation fee.
- —Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled time may be subject to a late-cancellation charge.
- —If our technician arrives on site and cannot perform the service because of access restrictions or other client-related issues, a service-call fee may apply.
Missed appointments
If you are not present at the time of your appointment and did not give prior notice, a service-call fee will be charged.
Deposit terms
Where a deposit is required, it reserves your appointment and covers parts ordered in advance. Deposits are final and non-refundable.
Any deposit you pay is applied toward the total amount due on your final service invoice.
Refunds
Refunds are not issued for completed services. If your appliance continues to show the same issue after our visit, we will evaluate it and provide appropriate repair options under our service warranty (see below).
If you are unhappy with the service you received, please reach out within 24 hours of the service date. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve the issue, which may include additional work within the scope of our warranty.
Service warranty
Labor guarantee
We provide a 30-day warranty on labor. This does not cover consumable or external parts such as refrigerant, filters, fuses, access valves, or mechanical moving parts.
Submitting a warranty claim
To request service under warranty, notify us within 24 hours of noticing the issue and allow our technician access to evaluate and complete any necessary work.
Warranty conditions
Warranty coverage is limited to services directly provided by Five Boro Appliance Repair and does not extend to third-party work or referrals.
Estimates and billing
We provide an estimate before any repair work begins. No additional charges are incurred without your prior approval.
A diagnostic fee may be charged if you choose not to proceed with the repair after the technician’s assessment.
